“Two weeks ago I was at my local Borders looking for a real-estate finance book. On January 5, 2007, I joined the Illinois Association of Mortgage Brokers. I was looking for professional guidance from the leading representative body of mortgage brokers in Illinois. I completed mortgage one, mortgage processing, and mortgage law to educate myself in preparation to submit an application to become a licensed mortgage broker in Illinois. On my last day of training, the executive director of the I.A.M.B. was giving his final Q & A session to all of the students who were preparing to take the test to become registered loan originators. I personally asked him if there were any books, materials, or additional resources that we can seek to better prepare ourselves for the mortgage industry, his answer was no!
